Miss Angelina is a passionate and highly accomplished dance educator, choreographer, and performer, currently serving as the Artistic Director of En Avant Dance. With a deep-rooted love for the art form, she trained pre-professionally for 17 years and competed at an elite level for 8 of those years, earning high honours, scholarships, and numerous specialty awards.
Since En Avant Dance’s inception in 2016, Miss Angelina has been a cornerstone of its growth and success. As Artistic Director, she leads with both vision and dedication, teaching a wide variety of styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acro, Musical Theatre, and Pointe. She holds the highest level of Distinction in RAD Ballet examinations and is a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Associate Member, fully qualified to teach all levels of RAD Ballet worldwide.
Her extensive training includes mentorship under Dale Yoshida, former principal dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and a three-week intensive in Toronto with the Ballet Mistress of the Royal Ballet (UK). She has trained and worked with choreographers connected to major artists such as Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Shawn Desman.
Miss Angelina was actively scouted by Ballet Jörgen and selected as one of just 15 dancers across North America for their prestigious five-week intensive in Toronto. Personally recognized by Bengt Jörgen, she was invited to perform in Sleeping Beauty with the professional company and trained closely with several of their principal dancers.
In addition to her training, Miss Angelina has an impressive professional performance background. She performed in Prom Queen at The Grand Theatre in 2019 and was personally invited to audition for The Next Step, also appearing in the show's 2019 promotional material. She has worked with and trained under Broadway professionals, SYTYCD alumni, and leading industry choreographers, including Lisa Stevens (9 to 5, West End), Derek Piquette (Broadway, Cirque du Soleil), Matt Alfano, Jordan Clarke (SYTYCD Canada winner), and Mitchell Jackson, among others.
